Buc-ee’s coming close to Memphis 🐿️ 

Buc-ee’s lovers are celebrating across Memphis right now, as they announced a new location opening in Fayette County. The massive gas station and everything-store will be located on Exit 28 off of I-40 in Gallaway, Tennessee, about 35 minutes from Downtown Memphis. No date has been set yet on when it’s opening.

Memphis Botanic Garden announces Live at the Garden lineup🤘 

Get ready to bring your lawn chairs out for live music at the Garden again as country and rock artists will be performing throughout the Summer.

They will kick off with country star Fierks Bentley on June 6, Goo Goo Dolls on July 12, classic rock legend John Fogerty on August 9, Sam Hunt on August 23, and Styx and Foreigner on September 20.

Trial in Ja Morant case delayed ⌛️ 

In the trial for the lawsuit between Ja and Joshua Holloway over a pickup basketball game on July 26, 2022, is delayed indefinitely. Just moments before the scheduled hearing on April 22, the trial was cancelled. And it’s unclear whether Holloway might not continue with the lawsuit, as his attorneys filed a joint motion to withdraw counsel on April 19. Good news for Ja and the Grizzlies.

Riverside Drive closes in preparation for Riverbeat 🚧 

As Memphis in May gets closer and closer, Riverside Drive will be closed until May 26 for the two new events hosted by Mempho Presents: Riverbeat Music Festival and the Smokeslam BBQ contest. Make sure to plan accordingly as you drive downtown or come for any of the upcoming festivals.

Two bills passed for $550M public financing of FedEx Forum 🤑 

Two bills — Senate Bill 2711 and House Bill 2868 — passed on Monday, April 22, clearing the way for the $550 million-plus renovations to the FedEx Forum. With the passing of these bills, focus is moved to local government receiving approval for the funding and reaching a long-term agreement between the Grind House and the city.

Mud Island Amphitheater gave the Memphis area some of the best live music for nearly 3 decades from 1982 - 2018.

With legendary artists performing there like Widespread Panic, Robert Plant, Yo Gotti, Sheryl Crow, Bob Dylan, 311, The Black Crowes, and The Allman Brothers Band, it’s no wonder so many people want this Memphis venue staple to reopen.
